If you’re visiting Kanazawa, this is a must-visit stop just beside Kenrokuen Garden: the National Crafts Museum（国立工芸館）. It’s Japan’s only national museum dedicated entirely to crafts and design, with a wide-ranging collection of works from Japan and abroad dating from the late 19th century onward. Even the historic building itself is worth seeing: a beautifully renovated Meiji-era army building whose architecture is an attraction in itself.
